Ternary Search Tree Implementation in C++

A Ternary Search Tree is a trie which leverages concepts of Binary Search Tree as well. A Ternary Search Tree is as memory efficient as Binary Search Trees and time efficient as a Trie. It is an efficient data structure to store and search large number of strings. A node in a Ternary Search Tree comprises of these fields : Left pointer - Points to Ternary Search Tree containing all strings alphabetically lesser than current node's data Right pointer - Points to Ternary Search Tree containing all strings alphabetically greater than current node's data Equal pointer - Points to Ternary Search Tree containing all strings alphabetically equal to current node's data End of string flag - Flag indicating the end of string Data - Actual data in the form of single character Ternary Search Tree Node For example, consider adding these strings in the same order into a Ternary Search Tree : "Lead" "Leader" "Leads" "Late"

SCTP Server Client Implementation in C

Here's a simple implementation of SCTP server and client in C This is how the connection is established : The Client initiates the connection with an INIT packet . Server replies back by sending the INIT-ACK. This packet also contains a unique context which identifies this connection. This context is called as COOKIE. The client then responds with a COOKIE-ECHO with the cookie sent by the server. Now the server allocates the necessary resources required by the connection and replies back to the client with COOKIE-ACK. And this is how the connection is terminated. Create your own packet sniffer in C

A simple implementation of a packet sniffer in C on linux platform using the libpcap library. This packet sniffer currently sniffs IP , TCP , ICMP and UDP packets. It can be modified to any protocol as needed just by introducing the header information in it. Certain filters can be used too like port number and specific host etc. e.g. Expression Description ip Capture all IP packets. tcp Capture only TCP packets. tcp port 80 Capture only TCP packets with a port equal to 80. ip host 10.1.2.3 Capture all IP packets to or from host 10.1.2.3.
